Security deposit: what it covers and how it is returned
The security deposit is separate from the lodging deposit (advance payment): it is $2,000 MXN per house and $3,000 MXN for Allegra Suites. It is returned after the property is inspected at check-out, provided there is no damage, missing items or pending charges.
What it covers
The deposit covers damage, missing items, extraordinary cleaning or pending charges under the contract, and it must be paid before check-in.
Refund
The deposit is returned in full after the property is inspected and it is confirmed that there is no damage, missing items or pending charges. If any is found, the deposit may be held while the corresponding cost is determined, for a maximum of five business days.
We recommend confirming the refund method with the team and keeping the receipt. The Help Center does not look up or record transactions for any booking.
By property
- Houses: the deposit is $2,000 MXN for each house booked.
- Allegra Suites: the deposit is $3,000 MXN and is not multiplied per room.
